The history of the Easytilt Shutters
Developed over four years at their workshop in the Kent countryside, they drew on there experience of furniture design to create a really unique range of interior window shutters, original in design and of the highest quality.
All models are identical in design, this was very important as both powered and manual models can be used in the same location and finished with six coats of paint.
They took an obsessive approach to the design sourcing some materials that had never been used on a window shutter before. The louvres are 70mm and manufactured from calcium composite which is very strong and a warp free material smooth to the touch. They designed the louvre with a light reducing profile so when they close, they fold into each other giving really good light reducing qualities.
When you edge glue many layers of timber together it becomes very stable and strong, they took this practice and using solid layers of Paulownia edge glued together created not only a strong and robust shutter but also light in weight.
A window shutter looks far more appealing when you don’t see a hinge, set into a 30mm thick paulownia frame the hinge has three-dimensional adjustment making it easy to fit but also giving a seamless look.
